About Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon National Park is located in Northern Arizona and encompasses 278 miles of the Colorado River and adjacent uplands. It was established as a National Monument by Theodore Roosevelt in 1908 and is one of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world. The park offers visitors unmatched vistas from its rim and is located on the ancestral homeland of 11 Associated Tribes.

The park has two public areas: the North and South Rims. The South Rim, at 7,000 feet above sea level, is the most accessible area of the national park and offers various locations where tourists may pull over to appreciate the views. Grand Canyon National Park is a popular destination, offering rim-to-rim hiking, donkey rides, and whitewater rafting.

The park also features several popular attractions such as Bright Angel Trail, Mather Point, Rim Trail, Havasu Falls, Desert View Watchtower, South Kaibab Trail, Tusayan Ruins and Museum, and Grand Canyon Skywalk. It’s a must-see destination for anyone interested in natural beauty and outdoor adventure.
